Sicilian style grilled fillet steaks
4 Fillet steaks, such as Greater Omaha Gold Label Fillet
10 Anchovy fillets (preferably canned in salt, otherwise in oil)
2 Tbs olive oil
2 Tbs tarragon vinegar
2 Tbs dry sherry
2 Garlic cloves, pressed
1 Tbs fresh oregano, minced
1 Tbs fresh tarragon, minced

You like it hot? Then this grilled fillet steak in a spicy steak marinade is just the right thing for you! Luscious anchovies, fresh herbs and a generous serving of garlic give your grilled fillet steak a real kick.
Fillet steak is without doubt the most tender piece of beef and with the Otto Grill you have the best device to grill the perfect steak. For this grilled fillet steak recipe, we’ve used Greater Omaha Gold Label that originates from the Middle West of the US.
For the spicy steak marinade, mash the anchovies and mix them with the olive oil, tarragon vinegar, garlic and minced spices in a bowl.
Coat the fillet steaks with the spicy steak marinade. If you don´t use all of the spicy marinade, put the rest aside to use as a sauce. Let the marinated fillet steaks rest in the fridge for one hour.
Preheat the Otto Grill onto 1500°F for three minutes.
Take the fillet steaks out of the spicy steak marinade and lightly pat off the marinade, so that it doesn’t burn when grilling. Put the fillet steaks on the grill rack and grill them for about one minute on each side, until they have a nice crust. Then set the grill rack on Meat-o-Meter stage 5 and let the grilled fillet steaks cook until they have reached the desired level of doneness.
Cut the grilled fillet steaks across the grain, sprinkle them with sea salt and black pepper and serve with any leftover spicy marinade as a sauce. As a side dish for the grilled steak fillet Otto recommends our grilled sweet potatoes.
