LET’S GO

PREPARATION

An unlikely pair of grilled bananas on ricotta cream comes together in this recipe for this snackable and delicious grilled dessert. This sweet treat is easily prepared and devoured on the Otto Grill. We added sugar to make it particularly sweet and delightful, but you can opt out of added sugar if you’d like!

  1. Ricotta Cream Mixture

Combine the ricotta, nutmeg and vanilla sugar in a bowl to create the ricotta cream mixture. In another small bowl, mix the brown sugar and vanilla bean. Peel the bananas and cut them into thin slices diagonally cut. This gives them a larger surface area and a professional touch.

  2. Arrange the Bananas

Spread the ricotta cream into four small fire-safe bowls. Place banana slices on top of the ricotta cream overlapping each other in a circle. Then, spread the vanilla-sugar mixture on top. Make sure the vanilla-sugar mix is spread evenly to avoid clumps.

GRILLING

  1. Preheat your Otto Grill at full temperature for 3-5 minutes. When the grill is ready, lower the temperature slightly to a medium level and place the bowls on the grill grate. Broil the bananas at Meat-O-Meter Level 0-1 for 1-2 minutes until the bananas caramelize. Serve immediately.
