10 oz beef filet

7 oz kimchi

1 tbsp yuzu juice



Filet tataki on grilled kimchi



Tataki is an exquisite way to prepare fish or beef. With the Japanese method, the meat is seared just enough to give it a small crust, but remains raw on the inside. The strong flavor of the meat is preserved and harmonizes wonderfully with hot and sour flavors such as kimchi or yuzu juice.



  1. Turn on the Otto Grill to high flame, pre heat for 10 minutes. Season all sides of the filet and lay it on the grill grate. Insert the grill grate and raise the Clever Leaver until the filet is almost touching the heating elements, sear for 1-2 minutes until the Meat is nicely seared. Take the filet out turn it over and repeat the process until the entire surface area has been given a nice hard sear. Then immediately remove it from the heat and allow it to rest for 5 minutes.

  2. Lay the kimchi on the grill grate and grill at high flame at Meat’o’meter lever 3 for 2 minutes. Then remove from the heat.


  1. Lay the grilled kimchi on a plate and cover with thin slices of filet and season with salt, pepper, and yuzu juice.
