Otto Grill mussels
2 lbs mussels
1 cup white wine
2 tbsp butter
4 garlic cloves
1 celery stalk
THE OTTO GRILL
Bring out something really fancy with the Otto Grill. The dark shells of mussels are a contrast to their bright meat. And they taste incredible too! With just a handful of ingredients they are done within minutes and ready to feast on.
Peel and finely dice the carrot and shallot. Slice the celery and garlic.
- Remove the Grill Grate and Drip Tray from The Otto Grill and turn on high flame.
Add a little oil to the bottom of a cast iron skillet and add the carrot, shallot, celery and garlic and place the skillet in The Otto Grill.
When the garlic starts to develop a bit of color add the butter and white wine, cook until the wine starts to boil.
Remove the skillet from The Otto Grill and turn to low flame. Add the mussels to the skillet and return it to the otto grill.
- Grill for 1 minute bursts, stirring the mussels after each burst, repeat until mussels have opened and are cooked.
