2 lbs ground beef

1/4 cup bread crumbs

4 burger buns

1 red onion

1 egg

1 feta block, drained

12 sun-dried tomatoes

3 sprigs thyme

3 sprigs parsley

2 sprigs mint

2 tsp dried oregano

2 tsp salt

1 tsp black pepper



Bifteki Burger



Greek bifteki is ground beef patty filled with feta cheese. Sounds perfect to recreate it as a burger! Fire up your Otto’s Grill to bring Bifteki Burgers on your plate. Choose your toppings wisely and let them flatter the taste of Greece. A selfmade ajvar makes it even better.





  1. Pick and finely chop all the herbs, peel and finely dice the onion and combine with the ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, salt and pepper.

  2. Form into flat disks and place chunks of feta in the middle. Then form the meat around the feta to get burger patties.


  1. Grill the meat

    Turn The Otto Grill on high flame and place maximum 4 patties at the same time on the grill grate. Set the grate on the lowest level and grill until the patties get dark brown. Flip and do the same for the other side. If doing smaller patties feel free to raise the grill grate to speed things up.


  1. Serve and enjoy

    Toast the burger buns in the Otto Grill and assemble the burger with lettuce, sun-dried tomatoes and Ajvar.
